On 25/02/2026, during the General Assembly of the Association of Psychiatric Clinics of Greece, Mr. Georgios Alafouzos, Board Member–Administrator and Administrative Director of the Neuropsychiatric Clinic “Panagia i Grigorousa,” was unanimously re-elected as President of the Association.

The consistent election of Mr. Alafouzos as President of the Association of Psychiatric Clinics of Greece from 2016 to the present marks a period of continuity, stability, and renewed commitment to the upgrading of mental health services in our country. At a time when the need for high-quality, accessible, and person-centered care is increasing, the trust expressed in his leadership is of particular significance.

This decision comes as recognition of the collective effort of all professionals working in psychiatric clinics. With vision, consistency, and collaboration, the new term aspires to represent another step towards a more modern, equitable, and effective mental health system.
